Stuff: i used to go to marineland a lot, as my mother had a friend who lived near portugese bend, and she'd drop me off around 10 a.m. and pick me up around 3p.m. i used to especially like to hang out down by the training pools, and wacht the dolphins and pilot whales, who often would come up to the surface, lie on their sides and make noises to me as well as keep eye contact. i was convinced at that early age that these were highly intelligent, sensitive creatures. i grew up in sunset beach, amd my mom worked on a fishing boat out of newport beach, so i'd go with her a lot, and we used to see dolphins surfing the bow wake of the boat. also, i used to love to watch the helmet diver feed the fishes in the big tank, i'll never forget that as long as i live. i recall when they built the space needle ride, and rode it many times, by then, marineland was sort of in it's decline. well, i'm glad you have this site, for i will always remember marineland as long as i live.

Stuff: Please send me any info you can on other Marineland employees. I would love to hear what people are up to. Do you ever update your other website? I e-mailed it about two years ago and there was only info on two people. I recently revisited the site and there were still only two updates. Let me know. Thanks, Denise

Stuff: I saw this web site and started to cry. I guess I really miss this time in my life. I miss the people, the animals, the fun(springers, Beanos,etc.). Thank you whoever you are to put this together. I have a ton of pictures but am unsure of how to put them on the internet(not computer savey). I was a costumed character(FYI: Entertainment was called the Live Shows Department). I am currently working in St. Paul MN as an Occupational Therapist. I have a 9 yo daughter named Christine. If anyone is interested, Flipper and Simo the dolphins are right here at the Minnesota Zoo (Imagine my surprise when I asked the trainer where these dolphins came from. I mean every other dolphins name is Flipper, but Simo? Does anyone know where any of the other animals/mammels went to? I was told that Georgie girl(walrus) went to the new zoo in Texas but when I went there (my brother-in-law helped build the place),I didn't see her or Blue. I would love to hear from anyone. Please write!!! ! ! I miss you all.

My family all were 'groupies', my daughter had an after school job at Marineland and my son was waiting for his chance ( he was too young...) Who is putting this work together?????

Stuff: hi! i used to go to marineland all the time as a kid, we had season passes and went every weekend. so last summer me and my friend who also fondly remebered marineland drove out there and hopped the fence. alot of the structures are still inact, including the snorkeling reef. and the view was gorgeous. it was really an amazingly fun experience, reminsicing and looking around. i would highly recommend it. we tried to be sneaky but ran into a guard as we were leaving. i was scared wed get busted for trespassing, but he just said hello and kept walking. so i dont think its really too dangerous of a thing to do and i highly recommend trying it sometime... great site!

Stuff: I've never saw Marineland but would love to see pictures of it. I read in an Esther Williams autobiography that she did a film there. Where can I see pictures of it?
